Broad-leaf weed control (Targeted):

Our targeted weed control program addresses broadleaf weeds

such as dandelion, plantain, thistle,  purslane and mallow.

We provide up to 3 treatments for the control of broadleaf weeds

over the lawn growing season (mid-May till end September).

After your lawn is sprayed, we will leave a notice in your door.

Please do not cut your lawn for 2 days. Please allow 2 weeks for

the “chemicals” to work on your weeds. If, by 3 weeks after the

spraying, you do not see a significant improvement, please call

and let us know so we can come and spray again.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If we do not hear from you, we will assume

that you have seen improvements, and the service will be billed.

IMPORTANT POINT: Clover, creeping charlie, chickweed and ground ivy are no longer classified as “weeds”. Since 2009 when the ban on “toxic” weed killers went into effect in Ontario, weeds which could no longer be killed by the new weed killers (eco-friendly ones) were re-classified as “ground cover” and no longer called “weeds”. As such, products developed to kill weeds (like “WEED-B-GON” or Fiesta) are not effective against these tough weeds. Call us for help on your TOUGH WEEDS.

Did you know:  Broadleaf Plantain is a perennial broadleaf plant that grows in many locations from spring to autumn. Not only is this a vital wild edible plant for overall good health, this wild weed can be used to treat chronic diarrhea as well as digestive tract disorders. Broadleaf plantain is packed with nutrients and is safe to ingest. If a person chomps on some fresh leaves, these can be applied to the

skin to treat minor burns, insect bites or open wounds.

Clover, creeping charlie, chickweed control (Targeted):

Clover, creeping charlie, chickweed and ground ivy along with other “ground cover” are no longer considered “weeds”, and are not controlled by products like “WEED-B-GON”.    But all is not lost.

Our “TOUGH WEED” program may be able to help you if you want to reduce creeping plants like clover and creeping charlie in your lawn. At your request, we can treat a small area and test the effect. If it works for you, we can treat the area you want.    Call us for help.

Poison Ivy control:

Over the last couple of years, poison ivy has become much

more prevalent in Wasaga Beach than it has been in the past.

This weed can seriously hurt people (particularly children)

and pets.
